I’m a recreational mountaineer and focused on the fun of getting out into the mountains with my friends. I love standing on the top of things. In the winter I am a paid ski patrol supervisor and dabble in backcountry skiing. I transition to scrambling and climbing in the shoulder seasons and summer. I’m a new(ish) 5.6+ trad lead and comfortably lead most 5.8 sport. I’m pushing my grade to 5.7 and 5.8 trad. Downhill skiing is where I started and is where I’m most comfortable.
I am a volunteer leader with the Mountaineers, and have led a variety of scrambles, trail runs, and crag climbing trips with them. In the past I have taught medical and mountain travel courses for ski patrol. I was an active member of King County SAR from 2009 – 2020, when I moved to Wenatchee, WA. I work remotely for a software company, started a photography business, and am happily married to my wife Melissa.
This page is a list of my more notable mountaineering accomplishments. Check out my peakbagger page for the full list of summits, and my mountain project profile for crag climbs.
